Brian and I are working on a project called “Partnership Profits” to help raise money for UNIF USA (a fantastic organization that Brian’s a part of).
Anyway… while we were making the outline for the project, I really got to thinking about the amazing things that have happened in my life since I began partnering with people.
Just as one example… Brian and I met in JuneĀ at the Philadelphia JV Alert. We actually didn’t really talk too much again until July, when he asked me to help him brainstorm ways to make money for UNIF.
From there, we decided to make a membership site that promptly got us about 100 members.
In that same month, we started doing copywriting. I had never done any writing for other people before (with the exception of a PLR pack when I first started IM), and thought the barrier to entry was so much higher than it was. Brian had been writing ebooks for people, but hadn’t written copy before.
Anyway - we were able to leverage each other so well that in 4 months, we went from $500 a sales letter to $3000 (and rapidly growing), have RIDICULOUS testimonials, and have assisted in some major launches with big-name Internet Marketers.
It’s just crazy!
And when we partnered with JD Swanson on other projects… the amount of stuff that we got done increased exponetially! (Our highlight was raking in $30k in 8 hours.)
I tell you this not to brag… but to illustrate how much potential partnership has.
Brian and I, for example, complement each other because he’s shameless in getting clients (and I mean that in a nice way :))… while I hold him accountable when he starts to miss deadlines.
If you can find people that complement your skill set (one great quote that I heard recently was, “If you spend all of your time trying to strengthen your weaknesses… at the end of your life, all you’ll have is a bunch of strong weaknesses.”), the sky can literally be the limit.

Hiya folks!
Last night I had the pleasure of being interviewed by
Sam Crowley, owner of the fastest growing personal
development website online, www.everydayissaturday.com.
Sam has been my personal coach for the past several
months, and has helped me make a number of
personal breakthroughs in that time. We talked about
things like…
- starting a 6 figure business out of a 10×8 room in
Harlem…
- going from writing articles for $0.04 a word to sales
letters for several thousand dollars…
- dealing with big, ugly, disheartening failures…. and
coming out stronger for it
- the now infamous $30k launch!
Sound interesting?
Check it out right here:

Let me know what you think
Cheers,

It’s not everyday that you see someone bring in $30k
in 8 hours!
Well, it happened to Rachel and I the other day, and I
thought you might like to hear a little bit about it.
The real magic was pulled off by JD Swanson, our
business partner, who put together the offer that brought
in 150 new customers at $197 each.
That’s an important part of the formula right there- it
only took 150 people to hit the “Buy Me A Beer” button
to make thirty thousand dollars in one day.
I used to think of higher-priced products and services
as hard to sell. Well, not anymore
All JD had to do was convince people that they would
get a ridiculous return on their investment, and $197
looked like pocket change.
He did that with a guarantee that simply blew people
out of the water. He said that if you follow his step-by-
step plan, you will be making 6 figures a year within
6 months.
Or your money back.
Period.
Now, anyone can go around guaranteeing whatever
they want. I can guarantee I’m not going to go bald,
but my hairline tells a different story.
To be effective, you have to be able to back up a
guarantee to the satisfaction of your customers.
JD did that over a long period of time, by constantly
offering high quality products and services in the
Warrior Forum, especially the WSO board. He was
essentially basing his guarantee on his reputation.
And he has also accomplished this before- for
example, I got to six figures within 5 months of
working with JD.
I told him his guarantee was too conservative
Another key was the strictly limited nature of the
offer. Only 150 people got in, and even though
the offer closed out in about 8 hours, dozens of
people posted in the thread and sent private
messages to JD asking to get in.
They will surely get a chance to work with him at
a later date, but the urgency created by the
disappearing slots made more people want to
join immediately.
Ultimately, JD sold something that the marketplace
was asking for- personal guidance from a proven
marketer. He gave them what they wanted, and
was handsomely rewarded.
He was also able to offer so many spots because
of the help he will have from Rachel and me over
the course of the training. He has teamed up with
people who have the same standards of quality
as he has, and as such can make bigger promises
and still come through.
Of course Rachel and I are quite pleased to be
part of such an exciting event
Cheers,
Brian
PS- That $30k was made in 8 hours, but earned
thanks to months of effort, both before and after
the offer. Don’t let big numbers keep you back
from taking action on your current project!

Welcome to Double Trouble Marketing’s official blog!
Brian and I have decided to make a blog for a few reasons.
1. More Traffic - I made a personal blog in June and had masses of traffic to the site within just a few weeks.
Blogs can be an awesome source of new traffic if you do some SEO optimization.
(Three things to help with that, just in case you’re curious…
a. If you want to optimize for a keyword, make it a category within your blog post.
b. Change your permalink structure (under Options) to the Custom option, and type in /%postname%/.
c. The “All In One SEO” plugin is your friend.)
Anyway, I digress.
2. Share Our Knowledge - We both love to learn. Just last night when I called Brian, he thanked me for saving him because he was about to make a monstrous Amazon.com order.
We’re both passionate about constantly improving and find it very fun to share what we know with other people.
3. Credibility - Anyone can call themselves a copywriter. We want to prove that we deserve the titles.
We plan on doing this by publishing some high quality articles, sharing sales letters with you, and teaching as much as possible.
So anyway, once again, welcome! Feel free to leave comments - we’d love to hear from you!
